What does the V2 design change?
The V2 solves the fitment issues of earlier versions: it clears the EBMX XTA Core motor and all current aftermarket motors without modification. Its strike angles are engineered to slide over rocks, roots and logs instead of hanging up, the extended tail section adds extra rear coverage, and ventilation slots keep the motor cool during hard riding. If the 10 mm bash plate is damaged it is replaceable in minutes, and the side rails carry a lifetime warranty: bend them and Heavy Hitter replaces them free.
How do I install it?
You need a 5 mm Allen wrench, a T20 Torx bit, a torque wrench and medium-strength (blue) thread locker. Apply thread locker to all hardware. Torque the four M6×1×14 side-rail screws to 10 Nm (7 ft·lb) and the sixteen M4×0.7×10 Torx plate screws to 2.6 Nm (1.9 ft·lb / 23 in-lb); that is barely hand-tight, but with the thread locker correctly applied the screws hold securely and stay removable.
