What bikes does the Renthal Fatbar fit?
- Universal: any e-moto with 1-1/8 in (28.6 mm) bar mounts
Why does Renthal build the Fatbar without a crossbar?
Leaving the brace off cuts weight while the oversize 28.6 mm tube keeps strength high, and it lets the bar flex a little for comfort, per Renthal. The 7010-T6 aluminum is shot-peened and anodized to resist corrosion. At the ends the tube steps down to 7/8 in, so standard 7/8 in levers, throttles and grips bolt straight on, and a laser-etched grid at the clamp area makes it easy to set the bar square in the mounts.
How do I choose between the 12 Fatbar bends?
Renthal says sweep (E), height (B) and width (A) matter most. Height is measured from the clamp center to the grip center, and taller or long-legged riders should look at more of it; width, grip end to grip end, should match your shoulder width and arm length; sweep is how far the ends pull back toward you, and it changes as you roll the bar forward or back in the clamps. The 821 McGrath Short is the lowest bend at 78 mm and the 609 RC High the tallest at 120 mm.
Each bend name points to the gas bike or rider it copies. The 604 follows the Honda CR / CRF and Kawasaki KX / KXF bar, the 672 the KTM SX / SXF, Suzuki RM / RMZ and Yamaha YZF, the 821 McGrath the 2016 and newer KTM SX125 to 450, the 831 the 2013 and newer KTM SX85 and 2017 and newer Husqvarna TC85, and the 839 the 2018 and newer Honda CRF. The 814 and 819 are ATV bends for the Kawasaki KFX450 and Yamaha YFZ450, and the 673 is a trials bend.
What do I need to mount the Fatbar on an e-moto?
A set of 1-1/8 in bar mounts. For a new cockpit, our Heavy Hitter Viper adjustable direct mount stem takes 31.8 mm or 1-1/8 in bars. Every bar includes Renthal's injection molded foam pad. If a braced two-tube bar suits your riding better, we also sell the Renthal Twinwall in seven bends.
