What does the Ventus Aetos Max V9600 controller fit?
- Universal (the product page lists no specific bike)
Ventus's brochure says the Gen.2 platform supports 13 bike types, naming the Sur Ron Light Bee and Ultra Bee, Talaria X3, 79Bike Falcon, ReRode R1 and E Ride Pro-SS 2.0 and 3.0, along with 68 battery types and 34 motor types. A bike specific Ventus V9600 Gen.2 Wiring Harness 1.7 is required and sold separately.
What makes the Aetos Max the top Gen.2 Ventus controller?
It takes the widest battery window in the VTB lineup, 12S to 26S, which the brochure gives as 36V to 110V with a 120V rating and a 138V breakdown point. Output reaches 76 kW on 960 A of phase current, tested to 1300 A, through 30 high performance MOSFETs. Compared with Gen.1, Ventus quotes 28.2 percent more thermal dissipation capacity, an 18 percent lower temperature rise and 25 percent more overcurrent capability. The board is potted in high resilience silicone to pass ISO vibration testing, the CNC aluminum housing carries an enlarged heat sink, and the unit is rated IP67 and -30 to 80 degrees C.
What does the Aetos Max app control?
Built in Bluetooth links the controller to the Ventus mobile app, where the rider sets throttle response, power curves, regenerative braking and riding modes. Five programmable riding modes cover different terrain without swapping hardware; the brochure shows EASYGO, ECO, SPORT, RACE and BOOST preloaded from a library of 10. Throttle sensing runs at 1000 samples per second with 0.0034V resolution, and the app can pair with the battery BMS over Bluetooth for state of charge and temperature. Ventus says future firmware will add wheelie assist, anti rollover support, G force tracking and high precision fall detection.
What do I need to install the Aetos Max?
A bike specific wiring harness is required and sold separately: the Ventus V9600 Gen.2 Wiring Harness 1.7. The controller is built for the Ventus VTB motors we carry, which list the Aetos / 9600 controllers as their plug and play match: the Ventus 28KW Light Motor, the Ventus 52kW Ryuga, the Ventus 48KW Ultra Bee Beast and the Ventus 81kW Ultra Bee Ryuga. The product page links the Ventus V9600 Gen.2 Aetos brochure and the Ventus warranty card.
