What bikes does the EBMX XLB-60 Race motor fit?
- Universal base motor for e-moto and custom applications
- Sur Ron Light Bee X (LBX)
- 79Bike Falcon
- Ventus
- E Ride Pro
- Arctic Leopard
EBMX sells this as the universal base motor without a bike specific adapter kit. Some controller and bike configurations are plug and play as is; others need the matching adapter kit listed below.
What makes the XLB-60 Race different from the XLB-60 Core?
The Race runs a 65 mm stator and 65 mm magnet length, an upgrade from the standard 60 mm, paired with a 105 KV wind for faster acceleration and higher top end speed. It supports up to 14,000 RPM with a 1 mm air gap for efficient heat dissipation, and its encoder sensor keeps throttle response precise under aggressive riding. Peak output is 42 kW and 97 Nm at 1,200 phase amps, with a 1400 A peak and 600 A continuous phase current rating.
Do I need an adapter kit for the XLB-60 Race?
The box holds the motor and shims only, and EBMX says an adapter kit is required for plug and play fitment on specific builds, while some controller and bike configurations will not need one. For the Sur Ron Light Bee X the matching kit is the EBMX Surron LBX Adapter Kit For XLB-Motors; for the E Ride Pro it is the EBMX E Ride Pro Adapter Kit For XLB-Motors. Both are for the X9000 controller and neither is included with the motor.
Which controller runs the XLB-60 Race?
EBMX pairs it with the EBMX X9000 controller for full system performance; we carry the EBMX X9000 V3 Base Controller for builds that bring their own harness and mounting. The motor is IP67 rated and its maximum motor temperature is 180°C, which is what EBMX means by race level use on the track, trail or drag strip.
