Why replace the stock XE Pro suspension pivot bolts?
Suspension pivot bolts take constant load, flex and impact every ride. Heavy Hitter's reasoning for the kit is that the stock hardware is standard-grade steel that can deform or corrode over time, especially in the linkage and triangle pivots where the forces concentrate. Replacing all of the pivot hardware in one pass, upper shock bolt, lower shock bolt, linkage bolts and triangle pivot bolt, gives the rear end a full set of bolts that hold their geometry ride after ride.
What is 300M steel and why nitride harden it?
300M is an ultra-high-strength alloy trusted in aerospace and motorsport applications, which is why Heavy Hitter uses it for every bolt in the kit. The trade-off is that 300M is naturally more reactive than standard steel, so each bolt is nitride hardened. That surface layer fights rust and corrosion, which Heavy Hitter calls essential for this alloy. The result is a full suspension bolt kit that holds its geometry ride after ride.
Does the kit include the swingarm bolt?
No. The kit holds five bolts, upper shock, lower shock, two linkage and the triangle pivot, with five flange nuts. The swingarm pivot is a separate part, the Heavy Hitter Arctic XE Pro Swingarm Bolt 300M, machined from the same 300M steel with the same nitride hardening.
