EBMX built the XUB-80 V2 for Ultra Bee riders who have outgrown the XLB-60 and need maximum output. The 80 mm stator, the IPM rotor with its 1 mm air gap and encoder based motor control deliver stronger low-end torque, smoother power delivery and up to 12,000 RPM, with a 40 kW peak and 65 Nm of maximum torque. 180°C rated windings and U42H magnets are there to handle heat and intense riding conditions.
How much continuous power can the XUB-80 V2 hold?
Air cooled, EBMX rates it at 15.5 kW continuous for 28 minutes and 28 kW for 2 minutes 20 seconds; water cooled it holds 18 kW continuous for 28 minutes. Peak phase current is 1100 A and the continuous rating is 500 A, which corresponds to 35 Nm. The windings are rated to 180°C, the controller starts limiting at 140°C and power cuts at 160°C, so race-ready cooling keeps the motor in its working range under sustained hard riding.
