What does the Ventus Aetos Pro V9600 controller fit?

  • Universal (the product page lists no specific bike)

Ventus's brochure counts 13 bike types, 68 battery types and 34 motor types in the Gen.2 database; the bikes it names include the E Ride Pro-SS 2.0 and 3.0, ReRode R1, 79Bike Falcon, Talaria X3, and the Sur Ron Light Bee and Ultra Bee. The matching Ventus V9600 Gen.2 Wiring Harness 1.7 for the bike is sold separately and required.

How does the Aetos Pro differ from the Aetos Max?

Both are Gen.2 V9600 controllers rated for 76 kW with 30 MOSFETs, IP67 housings and the same app, display and five riding modes. The Pro is the 12S to 22S unit: 36V to 93V, rated 72V at 20S and 81V at 22S, with a 100V rating and 112V breakdown, and it carries the higher phase current of the two at 1,200 A, tested to 1600 A. The Ventus Aetos Max V9600 Controller we also sell runs 12S to 26S at 120V with 960 A of phase current, so the choice follows the battery: up to 22S the Pro, 23S to 26S the Max.

What does the Aetos Pro app control?

Built in Bluetooth and the Ventus mobile app let the rider dial in throttle response, power curves, regenerative braking and riding modes from a phone. Five programmable riding modes set how the bike behaves across different terrain and conditions, preloaded as EASYGO, ECO, SPORT, RACE and BOOST from a 10 option library in the brochure. Ventus's throttle sampling runs at 1000 samples per second with 0.0034V resolution, the motor control algorithm supports both speed and torque modes, and the app pairs with the battery BMS over Bluetooth to monitor state of charge and temperature.

What do I need to install the Aetos Pro?

Order the bike specific Ventus V9600 Gen.2 Wiring Harness 1.7 with it; the harness is sold separately and required. The controller is the plug and play match for the Ventus VTB motors we carry: the 28KW Light, the 52kW Ryuga, the 48KW Ultra Bee Beast and the 81kW Ultra Bee Ryuga, whose product pages name the Aetos / 9600 controllers. The Gen.2 housing is CNC machined aluminum with an oversized heat sink, potted in silicone for ISO vibration testing and rated -30 to 80 degrees C. The Ventus V9600 Gen.2 Aetos brochure and the warranty card are linked from the product page.
