What bikes does the Renthal Twinwall fit?

  • Universal: fits any e-moto with 1-1/8 in (28.6 mm) bar mounts

Why a two-tube handlebar instead of a single-wall bar?

Renthal borrowed the two-tube idea from aircraft design: the outer 7010-T73 tube takes the mechanical damage and is anodized against corrosion, while the inner 7010-T6 tube is hard anodized to resist wear where the twist grip and controls sit. Rubber seals cap the ends of the outer tube to keep water and cleaning fluids out, and Renthal has built the Twinwall this way since 1998.

Riders who want a single-wall bar instead can look at the Renthal Fatbar, which we also sell in 12 bends.

Which Twinwall bend should I pick?

Every bend copies a full-size motocross setup, and the bend chart above gives width (A), height (B), rise (C), clamp width (D) and sweep (E) for each one. The 999 McGrath is the lowest bend at 79 mm tall; the 923 RC Mini / 85cc is the tallest at 112 mm and the narrowest at 754 mm wide. Renthal places the 997 RC near the middle of its range, and it matches the bar on the 2004 to 2013 Honda CR / CRF and the 2006 to 2013 Kawasaki KX / KXF.

Compare the chart against the bar you ride now. Height and rise set where the grips sit, width should suit your shoulders, and sweep pulls the ends back toward you.

What comes with the Twinwall and how do I fit it?

Each bar ships with Renthal's injection molded foam bar pad. The bar needs 1-1/8 in mounts, so a stock 7/8 in clamp will not hold it; the Heavy Hitter Viper adjustable direct mount stem we sell clamps 31.8 mm or 1-1/8 in bars. Use the laser mark in the middle of the bar to center it in the clamps, then set the roll so the sweep sits where you want it before tightening to your clamp maker's figure.
