Why replace the stock Arctic Leopard XE Pro triangle?
The OEM triangles are known to break in half, have poor tolerances and cause binding. Heavy Hitter traced binding during race events to the triangle, where it also caused linkage issues and then shock failure, and in a few cases the OEM triangle broke in half outright. The billet triangle was developed over about six months of racing the bike, through several test versions and CAD simulations, to eliminate that failure.
Does it fit a bigger shock?
Yes. The triangle works with the OEM or an aftermarket linkage and shock, and its geometry allows a larger shock to be mounted on the Arctic Leopard XE Pro. It also removes the battery contact issue of the stock triangle.
How do I maintain it?
The triangle is completely serviceable. Grease port fittings are built in so the pivots can be greased on the bike as part of regular maintenance.
What hardware do I need?
Mounting bolts are not included. The triangle reuses the OEM triangle bolts, or you can replace the upper shock bolt, lower shock bolt, linkage bolts and triangle pivot bolt with the Heavy Hitter Arctic XE Pro Linkage / Triangle / Shock Bolt Upgrade Kit (300M), sold separately.
