What bikes does the EBMX XLB-60 Core motor fit?

  • Universal base motor for e-moto configurations
  • Sur Ron Light Bee X (LBX)
  • E Ride Pro
  • 79Bike Falcon
  • Ventus
  • Arctic Leopard

The universal base kit includes the motor and shims only. An adapter kit is required for plug and play installation on specific bikes, while some controller and bike configurations may not need one.

Why choose the XLB-60 Core over a stock e-moto motor?

The Core is designed around a 64 mm stator with an 87 KV wind, good for 41 kW of peak power under load at 90V and 1100 phase amps and 32 to 35 kW of real world usable output. Its torque curve is tuned for both technical control and raw acceleration, the housing is sealed and impact resistant for harsh terrain, and the encoder sensor uses the standard encoder plug type. EBMX describes instant throttle response across trail, climbing and street riding.

Which adapter kit does the XLB-60 Core need?

Sur Ron Light Bee X builds take the EBMX Surron LBX Adapter Kit For XLB-Motors, and E Ride Pro builds take the EBMX E Ride Pro Adapter Kit For XLB-Motors; EBMX makes both for the X9000 controller and sells them separately from the motor. EBMX recommends a 52T rear sprocket on 18 in wheels and a 48T sprocket on 16 in wheels.

How does the XLB-60 Core compare to the XLB-60 Race?

The Core runs the 64 mm stator and 87 KV wind for 41 kW peak and 12,000 RPM; the EBMX XLB-60 Race Motor Upgrade steps up to a 65 mm stator and magnets with a 105 KV wind for 42 kW, 97 Nm and 14,000 RPM. Both are universal base motors that pair with the EBMX X9000 controller, and we carry the EBMX X9000 V3 Base Controller for builds that supply their own harness and mount.
