Both pieces are machined from certified Grade 5 6AL-4V titanium as a direct upgrade over the OEM steel hardware.

Fitment:

Talaria Sting MX3 / MX4 / MX5

Talaria XXX

NOTE: Install with a torque wrench to the proper spec and do not over-torque. The kickstand must pivot freely afterward; the shoulder bolt should not be clamped hard against the kickstand bracket.

The kickstand pivot is one of the lowest fasteners on a Talaria and it sits in the spray from the rear wheel. The OEM steel bolt rusts, the stand starts to bind, and eventually the pivot either seizes or wallows out. A titanium shoulder bolt keeps the pivot clean and moving, and the titanium lock nut will not corrode onto it.

Titanium Surron rates the set at 45% lighter than the OEM steel hardware and describes the Grade 5 6AL-4V alloy as giving the same strength as steel at 45% of the weight. The threads are rolled, which the maker says resists fatigue better than cut threads, a sensible property for a bolt that gets loaded every time the bike is parked.

The set includes (1) titanium kickstand shoulder bolt and (1) titanium lock nut, in Burnt Blue, Black, Gold, Green, Purple, Rainbow, Blue, Teal or raw titanium. When you fit it, snug the nut so the stand swings without play but without binding; the shoulder on the bolt is what sets the clearance.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0511/3964/1496/files/titanium-kickstand-bolt-nut-set-talaria-350528.jpg?v=1791825984
