The custom-style 4.1 mm head may not clear some aftermarket rotor and caliper combinations.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRotor bolts clamp the disc to the hub and take the shock of every hard stop, and they live in the brake dust and water thrown off the rear wheel. Stock steel bolts corrode in the hub threads and can be miserable to remove when the rotor finally needs replacing. Titanium bolts stay free in the threads and keep the hub looking clean.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTitanium Surron makes the bolts from certified Grade 5 6AL-4V with rolled threads, which the maker says resist fatigue better than cut threads, and rates them at 45% lighter than OEM. For the LBX and similar bikes you choose between the OEM-style head, the lower of the two at 3.5 mm with a 4 mm hex, and the custom head, which is taller at 4.1 mm and takes a 5 mm hex. The custom head is the one to avoid if your aftermarket rotor and caliper leave no room above the bolt.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSeparate variants cover the Ultra Bee, Komodo and Altis Sigma.
