On a bike that gets ridden hard and hosed off, the stock steel nut corrodes, rounds and eventually fights you every time it has to come off. A titanium nut keeps its hex and will not rust onto the shaft.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTitanium Surron rates the nut at 45% lighter than OEM and states that certified Grade 5 6AL-4V gives the same strength as steel at 45% of the weight. The threads are rolled, which the maker credits with higher fatigue strength than cut threads, and the anodized or PVD finish adds corrosion protection in Blue, Burnt Blue, Black, Gold, Green, Purple, Rainbow, Teal or raw Silver.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOrder by thread.
