rk-m420h-heavy-duty-drive-chain
RK M420H Heavy Duty Non-Sealed Drive Chain

The RK M420H is a heavy duty, non-sealed 420 drive chain for e-motos, made from carbon alloy steel with a natural finish. RK says its non-sealed chains now show a 40% increase in chain life, thanks to three changes in how they are built. Choose 120, 130, 132 or 136 links; each chain comes with a clip connecting link.

Fitment:

Universal 420 Chain

NOTE: RK rates it to 15 hp, for bikes that came with a non-sealed chain

Those changes are quad-staked pins, solid cold-forged bushings and a new coating. RK says staking each pin on four sides makes it stronger and more stable, raising stress resistance under high loads and putting power to the ground more efficiently, while cold forging strengthens the bushing metal for a stronger, more rigid chain.

RK rates the M420H at 4,100 lb tensile strength with a maximum chain width of 16.9 mm. The chain weighs 0.81 kg per 100 links.

The chain is not endless, so it goes on with its connecting link, and RK warns never to use two connecting links on one chain. RK also recommends new sprockets with every new chain, since damaged, worn or misaligned sprockets shorten chain life, and installation by a qualified mechanic with the proper tools.
