Since I was a kid, I've always been the go-to person for fixing my friend's dirt bikes, go-karts, go-peds, and anything with a motor. My first dirt bike was a 1987 Yamaha YZ50, Yamaha's first 50cc race bike. As I grew older, I stepped up to a 2000 Yamaha YZ80 which was a game changer for me, and I rode Air Dania MX here in South Florida and trails all over Ocala National Forest.

Fast forward 15 years and I'm going down the rabbit hole of e-bikes with a Sur Ron. I never would have thought e-bikes would be so addicting! The instant torque and silence have you lost for words when you roll on the throttle.

The first time meeting one of the GritShift guys I was riding my Sur Ron down A1A Flying with my 42T sprocket, stock battery and controller. Next thing you know I hear this tire humming noise and I turn around and see Bullet on his Sur Ron waving me down! I pulled over stoked to finally see another Sur Ron and first thing Bullet does was try to race me.

After about one hour of just talking and test riding each others bikes I knew I needed more mods, specifically POWER! Id never really went off roading on my Ron mostly just street riding. It's hard not to spend my whole check on more bike parts!

After meeting the GritShift crew for a off-roading day the first thing I did was order a Sabaton controller and figured out how to wire it up, along with tuning and battery bypass. Man I thought my bike was fast and I was ready to line it up with the GritShift guys again.

Fast forwarding about a year later, I joined team GritShift working as customer service & R&D support. Owning a Sur Ron has opened up a whole new world of opportunities on two wheels. I really feel like we are doing something big here and I'm excited to be at the forefront of the Dirt Bike EV evolution!
