It’s been stress-tested in CAD simulations up to 3,500 lbs of force before deformation, so while it’s not our strongest plate, it can still take a serious beating. Lightweight, focused, and optimized for better motor efficiency, the Nomad revives our original V1 design and is compatible with all LBX motor upgrades on the market.
The Nomad’s bash plate angles are engineered to maintain forward momentum over obstacles, eliminating hang-ups. Overlapping edges add rigidity, and the lowest plate features an extra cross-support to handle lateral loads and resist bending under impact.

Installation note: We recommend using a blue medium thread locker on all hardware during installation. Mounting bolts are T20 Torx bolts; the recommended torque value is 2.6 Nm / 1.92 ft-lb / 23 in-lb. This is barely hand-tight, but as long as the blue medium thread locker is used and correctly applied, this will hold securely and be removable.
